Create a personal life timeline template with key milestones
About the framework
The My Life Timeline example has eight milestone labels grouped into Early Years, Growing Up, Young Adult, and Milestones. It starts with birth and school, then moves through middle and high school, college, a first career, personal growth, and looking ahead.
Notes suggest friendships, hobbies, work, relocation, travel, and a passion project. These are placeholders, not a prescribed life path. The sample has no calendar dates and no specific marriage, parenting, or retirement entry. Its final label contains goals for the next five years, mixing a future-facing section with past memories.
Replace the school and career assumptions with events that matter to your own story. Add dates or approximate ages where helpful, and keep future hopes clearly separate from completed experiences. For a memoir outline, include a short note on what changed after each turning point.
