Visualize our marketing funnel from awareness to paying customers
About the framework
This Sankey example starts with 20,000 visitors at Awareness. Of those, 5,000 move to Interest and 15,000 go to Bounce. The remaining path narrows to 2,000 at Consideration, 900 at Trial, and 420 at Paid. Eight links show both progress and exits.
Two stages send visitors to the same Drop-off node: 3,000 from Interest and 1,100 from Consideration. The Trial stage splits into 420 paid conversions and 480 labeled Churned. Those labels describe this sample’s categories; they do not establish how a real business defines churn.
Adapt the diagram with counts from a consistent cohort and time window. Keep each stage’s outgoing totals aligned with its incoming count, and separate the Drop-off nodes if you need distinct exit labels.

Frequently asked questions
Paid contains 420 of the initial 20,000 visitors, which is 2.1%. This is a calculation from the example, not a marketing benchmark.
Both links use the same destination label. Ask for separate Interest Drop-off and Consideration Drop-off nodes to distinguish where visitors leave.
In this example it receives 480 people directly from Trial. Rename it Trial Did Not Convert if that better matches the event your data measures.
