About the framework

Review a product sprint from backlog to completed work

The board starts with five Backlog cards, four In Progress, four In Review, and five Done. It mixes customer-facing features such as dark mode and notification preferences with API rate limiting, webhook logs, and authentication work.

Active work includes an onboarding redesign, an analytics view, and email digests. Review holds password reset, search, billing, and webhook tasks. Done lists Google OAuth, a canvas, team invites, a usage dashboard, and public share links. These are sample project tasks, not claims about the host product.

For your sprint, replace the card names and define what In Review and Done mean. The example supplies no point estimates, owners, WIP limits, or deployment evidence, so add only the details needed for your team’s delivery discussion.

Frequently asked questions

Common questions

Does the example set work-in-progress limits?

No limits are shown in the column headers. Add explicit limits if the board will support capacity discussions.

Does Done prove a feature is deployed?

It is only a sample status label. Define whether Done means reviewed, tested, released, or another agreed completion condition.

How can I narrow the board to one sprint goal?

State the goal, then ask to retain only tasks that support it. Move the remaining ideas into a later backlog rather than treating every sample card as a commitment.
