In high school, I was that student. The one who nailed almost every Math and Science test. The one with an almost 4.0 GPA. In my world, I was top of the game, and honestly, I thought I was a genius. Then, reality hit.
I enrolled at Rose-Hulman, one of the best engineering undergrad programs in the US, and had a humbling realization. The world is vast and filled with incredibly smart individuals from every corner of the globe. I was surrounded by minds that dazzled me daily.
That's when it dawned on me: I was a nerd, yes, but not a genius.
Grades became more challenging. Professors handed out As only to the top 10% of the class. Despite my best efforts, I wasn't consistently in that top tier. However, this realization wasn't a source of disappointment, but rather, inspiration. If I couldn't be a genius, I'd find a way to keep up with them. That's why I yearned for a tool to connect with and learn from all my brilliant peers. And that's how I grew the interest in building a tool for thoughts.

Creating and Consuming Knowledge with MyMap
In our modern age, there's an endless influx of information. But how do we effectively digest and utilize it? MyMap is the answer. It aids both in the creation and consumption of knowledge.
Three Pillars of MyMap
- Representation of Knowledge: With MyMap, I wanted to redesign how knowledge is represented. Traditional methods often don't do justice to the complexity and interconnection of ideas. MyMap offers a clearer, more intuitive layout.
- Interactive Medium: Passive reading is one thing, but interactive learning? That’s where true understanding happens. MyMap provides an engaging medium where users can delve deep, exploring topics and seeing how ideas intertwine.
- A Dual Platform for Creation and Sharing: Knowledge isn’t just for hoarding; it’s for sharing. MyMap is a hub where you can create, refine, and then share your understanding with other
My journey from high school to Rose-Hulman taught me a lot about my own capabilities and limitations. But most importantly, it showed me that with the right tools, we can bridge the gap between where we are and where we want to be. MyMap is my way of offering everyone that bridge. Whether you consider yourself a genius, a nerd, or just someone eager to learn, MyMap is here to guide and amplify your journey.
